Brindisi and Surroundings

Seaside city, and beyond. Brindisi, with its churches and its
historic buildings, as Nervegna Palace and the Palace of the Seminary,
offers the visitor a profile full of history and monuments to visit
with the heart turned to the past.
Besides the famous pier, the messapic capital
retains some Roman remains, but also evidences which
date back to the Middle Ages, as the Svevo-Aragonese Castle, also known
as Castle of Federico II. In Piazza Duomo rises the Archaeological Museum
"Francesco Ribezzo" which houses, among other things, the "Bronzi di
Punta del Serrone".
Moving in the province, a separate chapter goes to Ostuni, also known
as the "White City" for its immaculate buildings which characterize the old town especially.
Unspoiled nature, incredible wildlife and more: Torre Guaceto is the natural reserve rising at 27km from Brindisi. This area is home to
many protected species but also a seaside resort renowned for
its fine sand and crystal clear waters.
To the north, near the border with the province of Bari, we find Fasano.
Its Zoo Safari (one of the largest parks in Europe) attracts thousands of tourists all
year round.
