Exhibition "Remenbrances" of Loredana Caciuccolo

The Arca art gallery is exhibiting the personal painting by Caciuccolo: "Andrea's rooms". From May Friday 11th in Lecce.

The personal painting by Loredana Caciuccolo was inaugurated on May 11th at 9:30 a.m. in the Arca art gallery in Palmieri street (Lecce). The exhibition, edited by Carmelo Cipriani, is visitable every day (till June 8th) from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.
On the oil painted on canvasses, there are sceneries of interiors without life but full with traces of existence. "Uninhabited armchairs and sofa for a long time, lamps off, locked pianos and violins hung on the wall, still rocking- horses, there is not a puff of wind to make theme move, every thing seems abandoned" this is how Carmelo Cipriani describes her works. Fittings and things tell stories lived in an indefinite time, lives lived into the wealth, maybe they had been bourgeois, loose and eccentric, but they had been forgotten. These elements- or mysteries- are picked into 'Andrea's rooms'. This is one of the most interesting artistic experimentations of Loredana Caciuccolo, who has transferred into the subject past memory and future hopes, autobiographical mentions and literary topos. It is not an accusation, not even a blame, but it is just a sad and resigned objection, which is portrayed with an infallible technics of painting. The artist proposes a new sensationalism which firstly stimulates memory and then touch, exalting the atmospheric and psychological aspects of imagined or experienced surroundings.
