Patù is at the eastern end of Leuca. It is at 63,5 Km from Lecce near the ancient messapica village of Veretum and it preserves the remains of the megalithic construction of Centopietre, which is an ancient funeral monument built with 100 blocks of limestone. Patù hosted the ancient city of Veretum which was destroyed by the Saracens in the IX century a.C. the crypta of Santa Elia dating the VIII-IX centuries built by the Basilians is suggested. Patù includes: Marina of San Gregorio, seaside resort of the same town; Felloniche, coastal resort with a posidonieto protected by UE.
