Orte's tower
Orte's (or Orto) tower is located on Salento's coast south of Otranto, near Capo d'Otranto, the easternmost point of Italy. The construction works began in 1565 by hand of master Cesare D'Orlando, Tommaso Vangale and Cola D'Andrano. In 1826, the defensive structure was incorporated in the omonymous manor farm and used as its warehouse.
