Coastal Watchtowers
Coastal Watchtowers / Torre Santa Sabina - Carovigno (BR)

Santa Sabina tower

It communicates visually with Pozzelle tower to the north and Guaceto tower to the south. It may have been built in the early 15th century, as the port's control tower, by the princes of Taranto; it later came under state ownership from the Royal Court in the 16th century under the provisions of the Viceroy Pedro Afan de Ribera, becoming part of the circuit of anti Saracen watchtowers.
